Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC is seeking a Materials Analyst (Architecture) to lead the materials function across production control, shipping, receiving and inventory control, ensuring cost-effective systems that meet production and sales goals while minimizing freight and inventory days.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field, 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, and willingness to travel to customer sites to support production readiness

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquisition of materials.
• Optimize freight and inventories.
• Implement production scheduling, logistics and inventory control processes to ensure material availability with minimum inventories.
• Select, motivate, train, and develop a competent materials staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Daily checks to verify material storage locations.
• Manage economical inbound/outbound transportation routes and opportunities for consolidation.

The Material Analyst is responsible for the overall materials function and coordinating the efforts of Production Control, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Control; to ensure an orderly and cost, effective system is developed and maintained which will enable production and sales goal to be met while minimizing freight dollars and inventory days on hand.

Essential Functions of Job

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquirement of materials.
• Optimize freight and inventories.
• Implement, production scheduling, logistics and inventory control processes which ensure the availability of materials for an uninterrupted flow of production in accordance with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventories.
• Select, motivate, train, and ensure development of a competent department and materials handling staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Daily walks verifying material is stored in the proper location.
• Assist with the management of the most economical inbound / outbound transportation routes, looking for opportunities to combine shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution

Required Education Level

Bachelor's Level Degree

Area of Study:Supply Chain, Business Admin, Finance or similar.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience.
• Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
