Responsibilities

  • Perform physical inventories to maintain plant operation levels.
  • Maintain accurate inventory in receiving and storage areas.
  • Conduct cycle counts and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Generate daily outage material list with zero stock.
  • Report shortages or damaged inventories to Receiving Clerk / Materials Supervisor.
  • Notify production of material issues to avoid downtime.
  • Keep inventory organized and up to date using AMI systems.
  • Support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Cross-train in other Receiving areas as assigned.

Position Summary

The Materials Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring effective control of materials within receiving and storage areas. This role monitors incoming supplier deliveries, performs cycle counts and physical inventories, and identifies shortages, damages, or discrepancies. The Materials Analyst provides timely, accurate reporting and feedback to support operational continuity and efficient supply chain performance.

What to Expect
  • Perform physical inventories on specific items as necessary to ensure proper levels for plant operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of items within the main receiving and hardware storage areas.
  • Accurately perform cycle counts and provide appropriate and timely feedback to the Materials Supervisor.
  • Generate daily list of materials for outage report. (Zero in stock).
  • Report shortages &/or damaged inventories to the Receiving Clerk / Materials Supervisor.
  • Communicate to Production material issues- shortages that will cause disruptions ahead of time to avoid or eliminate down time
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and high level of pride in keeping an organized and accurate inventory system.
  • Proficiency in maintaining AIMS inventory system.
  • Must understand and use all the AMI (MRR, Power BI, Mainframe, Elwin) systems available to include the Recon transportation system
  • Generate BOL for shipments via Freight and schedule pickups.
  • Monitor Production WIP inventory levels against production planning
  • Monitors Status of supplier deliveries to ensure on time suppliers' deliveries to include follow up with planners and initiates Supply chain NDA's
  • Practice, enforce, support and promote all HR, Safety, Quality and delivery policies and procedures.
  • Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Cooperate with all other departments so the plant meets all safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPI's
  • Crosstrain in other areas of Receiving as assigned by the Materials Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Materials Supervisor and Manager.
What We're Looking For
  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma).
  • Minimum of one year experience with inventory management in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Strong team working capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and obtain suitable certification.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting & Carrying: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 15-30 lbs. frequently during the shift.
  • Endurance: Standing and walking on concrete floors for 8--12-hour shifts.
  • Body Mechanics: Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Agility & Coordination: Climbing ladders, navigating narrow aisles, and maneuvering in fast-paced, sometimes crowded environments.
  • Manual Dexterity: Handling, sorting, and scanning small products repetitively.
  • Vision & Hearing: Good, corrected vision is necessary for reading labels and operating equipment, while hearing is required to detect alarms.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is required to be worn daily.
