Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Material Technician (Nuclear) at our Louisiana site to support plant operations by receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory materials. You will provide accurate inventory information and ensure proper labeling and material control in a safety‑critical environment.

The position requires 3+ years in stores or related experience, ability to lift 40 lbs repeatedly, and certification to operate material handling equipment such as forklift or cherry-picker.

Job Summary/Purpose

Performs materials functions related to receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory materials to support plant operations. Accurately provides inventory information for company-controlled material stock.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform initial inspection of material delivered from vendor.
• Perform quality receipt inspection for safety-related material in accordance with procedural requirements.
• Move, store and maintain material accuracy. Stage and issue material in a timely manner.
• Ensure all material is labeled in accordance with procedure requirements.
• Maintain forklift qualification to support mechanical movement of materials.
• Participates, supports and complies with all human performance, safety, and quality requirements. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education and experience required of the position 3+ years in stores environment or related professional experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Of The Position Must be capable of repetitive lifting a minimum of 40lbs. Good warehouse skills (operating forklift/manual pallet jack, etc.). Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system.

Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc. Required For The Position Certification to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift or cherry-picker.
