Who is your future team?

At Axis, our Purchasing department consists of two closely connected teams working seamlessly together to secure product availability across our eight global sites.

We are now seeking a manager to lead one of these teams: the Material Supply team. This team comprises 10 dedicated colleagues — 8 Purchasers responsible for Accessories, Sourced Products, and Pack & Print, and 2 Business System Analysts who support both purchasing teams with application development and system utilization.

This is an opportunity to lead a highly skilled and ambitious team that drives growth and customer satisfaction by managing supply excellence. The team plays a critical role in both S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

The team's purchasing assignment is partly operational — planning, releasing, and managing purchase orders — and partly tactical and strategic - analyzing current and forecasted demand with supply plans, balancing supply and demand, mitigating supply risks, managing phase-in/phase-out activities, supporting large enterprise customer projects, driving inventory management strategies, and tracking and driving supplier performance.

Each Purchaser owns specific commodities and supplier relationships, handling a dynamic product portfolio with varying complexities and life cycles.

But it doesn’t stop there — innovation and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that continuous improvement, close cross-functional collaboration, and planning alignment are essential to building stronger capabilities for the future and shaping our day-to-day work.

You will be a part of the Demand & Supply management team and collaborate closely with other functions and organizations at Axis such as Demand Planning, Sales, Product Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, amongst others.

What will you do?

As Manager for Material Supply your key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the team by providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to excel in their roles.
• Driving both operational and strategic development to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction, in alignment with Axis' business objectives.
• Fostering strategic execution and planning excellence through cross-functional collaboration, promoting a culture of communication, transparency, and alignment across Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

• Actively contributing to the Demand & Supply Management team by setting and driving the strategic direction of the organization.
• Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies and ways of working, together with the team, to ensure the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of goods.
• Driving and developing the inventory management strategy and related KPIs.
• Strengthening seamless demand and supply planning and execution within the Demand and Supply organization.

The position is based at our HQ in Lund and involves travelling, approx. 5-20 days/year. You will report to the Demand & Supply Director.

We believe that you have:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant area.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement roles in a global environment.
• Proven strong leadership qualities.
• Solid business, analytical and organizational acumen to support strategic decision-making.
• A genuine interest in developing others.
• A proactive mindset, always seeking opportunities for process improvement to meet future challenges.
• Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English is a must and speaking Swedish is a plus.
