Job summary

Automation Personnel Services seeks a Material Supply Handler in Sugar Land, TX to support inventory control, material coordination, cleanroom supply operations, and production support in a manufacturing setting.

Material Supply HandlerAutomation Personnel Services is seeking a Material Supply Handler for a company based in Sugar Land, Texas. Material Supply Handler is responsible for supporting inventory control, material coordination, cleanroom supply operations, and production support activities in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely material availability, supporting PPE and gowning processes, organizing storage areas, and helping prevent material shortages that may impact production, shipping, or internal operations.Pay Rate$22.00 an hourSchedule and HoursMonday through Wednesday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PMThursday through Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PMMaterial Supply Handler Duties and Responsibilities•Receive, inspect, label, store, and organize incoming materials in designated areas while maintaining clean, compliant, and audit-ready storage conditions.•Coordinate the movement of materials between receiving, storage areas, production lines, and other functional departments to support daily operations.•Perform cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory audits while monitoring reorder points, lot numbers, expiration dates, and FIFO usage.•Restock PPE, cleanroom, and operational supplies including gloves, masks, bouffant caps, shoe covers, lab coats, gowns, boots, and related materials.•Support gowning exchange, dirty garment scanning, bagging, staging, pickup verification, and redistribution of returned garments as needed.•Communicate low stock risks, material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and process issues to management and support continuous improvement efforts.Material Supply Handler Qualifications and Requirements•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required•Basic computer proficiency in Excel, barcode scanners, and inventory management systems with strong attention to detail and follow-through.•Experience in inventory, warehouse, receiving, manufacturing, supply chain, or cleanroom operations preferred.•Familiarity with PPE requirements, cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and chemical handling is a plus.•Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, follow procedures, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.•Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and handle materials throughout the shift, including extended periods of movement across storage and production areas.•Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, boxes, totes, and inventory items up to 50 pounds independently and safely.•Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, boxes, totes, and inventory items up to 50 pounds independently and safely.•Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, and cleanroom environments with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, lubricants, and changing temperatures, while wearing required PPE and cleanroom gowning when applicable.Job TypeFull-time, Temporary to HireBenefits•Weekly Pay•Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance•40 Hours Service Bonus after 1 year of continuous service and 1500 hours•6 paid Holidays after 1 year of continuous service and 1500 hours401(k) Retirement PlanAutomation Personnel Services is the only staffing agency specializing in manufacturing and industrial roles that offers 401(k) matching to all eligible contingent and temporary associates.Click Apply Now to submit your application or call us at 713.730.7447 to learn more.
