Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is hiring for an on-site material site role supporting heavy maintenance operations and vendor facilities. You will manage parts for aircraft and ensure timely delivery to meet schedules.

The position requires aviation supply chain experience, TRAX proficiency, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. Growth potential and competitive compensation are offered as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-3 years of Aviation Supply Chain or Production Planning experience; 3PL or Heavy Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Previous TRAX experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of stor ekeeping and inventory control practices.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport as extensive domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Must have clean driving record and possess a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate part status for assigned aircraft daily.
  • Coordinate parts required by maintenance to meet aircraft schedule.
  • Provide on-site guidance to MRO vendors.
  • Return serviceable and unserviceable parts to the appropriate Atlas Air warehouse or vendor.
  • Perform material transactions in TRAX for the assigned aircraft.
  • Ship materials timely and cost-effectively with proper packaging.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for on-site material functions at vendor maintenance facilities for aircraft in heavy maintenance and modification. Heavy maintenance check stations ensuring inventory accuracy and accountability of all related processes both internal and MRO/vendor. Responsible for overseeing the MRO/vendor staff performing the following duties, receiving, shipping and issuing of parts in TRAX system….etc

Major Job Accountabilities
  • Ensures accurate part status is available on a daily basis for assigned aircraft including initial pre-draw.
  • Responsible for coordination of parts required by maintenance for completion of aircraft check or modification and ensures that these parts are delivered to meet the aircraft schedule.
  • Provides on-site guidance to MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul) vendors performing material functions on behalf of the company.
  • Responsible for the return from the site of serviceable and unserviceable parts to the proper Atlas Air warehouse, repair vendor or surplus vendor.
  • Executes vendor vs company supply material decisions on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for metrics related to assigned aircraft.
  • Performs materials transactions in Trax related to the assigned aircraft.
  • Performs timely and cost-effective shipping of materials and ensures vendors are preparing items for shipping in a proper manner to provide protection against damage.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Material Site Representative.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.

  • Previous Trax experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of store keeping and inventory control practices.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport as extensive domestic and international travel may be required.

  • Travel as required to support various vendor maintenance facilities.
  • Work hours vary based on heavy check schedule.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

$54,375 — $73,125 USD
