A Material Science Technology Transfer Chemist supports key NPHS / PET initiatives. They foster a culture of compliance excellence within Cardinal Health, delivering excellent outcomes through advocacy, proactive communication, planning with cross-functional teams, and more.

Travel for this position is approximately 75-80%.

Responsibilities

• Support PET manufacturing sites as needed (manufacturing products, quality control, with some exposure to radiation safety, cGMP, EH&S, etc.)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, regulatory, customer service, culture, and financials
• Assist the training team as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific or technical field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• Ability to train and coach others using technical expertise
• Technician level II PET manufacturing site experience required
• Authorized user status required
• Media fill qualification strongly preferred
• Ability to travel 75-80%
• Maintain all core competencies, training, and qualifications
• Flexibility to relocate if necessary

• Apply comprehensive knowledge and technical skills to varied tasks and projects
• Contribute to policy and procedure development
• Experience with complex projects of large scope is preferred
• Perform Technician level II duties independently with general guidance on new projects
• Work reviewed to ensure objectives are met
• Mentor less experienced colleagues when appropriate
