Job summary

BRAVA ROOF & TILE is seeking a Material Science Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations. Responsibilities include routine testing, sample preparation, data reporting, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.

The role covers physical property testing, thermal analysis, and weathering tests while upholding safety and cleanliness standards; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of lab safety and chemical handling.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory testing and analyses.
• Prepare raw materials, compounds, and samples for testing.
• Record and report data in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab spaces; ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Dispose of chemical and material waste per safety protocols.
• Follow safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Communicate with Laboratory Manager and weekday team for continuity.
• Assist in inventory management of lab supplies.
• Support additional testing or project work as needed (2nd shift).
• Perform testing on injections molding samples, including physical properties, thermal analysis, and weathering tests.
