Job summary

Harry- is seeking a receiver to ensure accurate, timely unloading and receipt of product. You will verify material against the Bill of Lading and document pallet counts, then sign the paperwork and report any discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has basic reading and math skills and at least some high school education. Lifts of up to 50 lbs are required, with ability to work in varying temperatures and perform repetitive tasks.

Job description

This position will ensure the accurate , timely and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involved calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork, and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Some high school education
• 3+ months of distribution/inventory experience preferred
• Basic reading and math skills required

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)
