L3Harris Technologies, Inc. invites applications for an Intern, Material Process Engineering in Canoga Park, CA. The role supports energetic and propellant development, engaging in chemical research, analysis, and testing to improve propellant synthesis and material characterization.

Responsibilities include executing approved work, analyzing results, and maintaining proper documentation, with a pay range stated and relocation/benefits offered as part of the program.

Formación

• Pertinent codes, rules, and regulations related to areas of assignments.
• Principles of Good Laboratory Practices and Protocols.
• Use of chemical laboratory process and test equipment, specialized analytical equipment, and various computer/software systems.
• EPA or other specialized testing protocols.
• Principles of chemistry, mathematics, statistics, mechanics, and physics, and the ability to relate these to laboratory assignments.
• Quality assurance protocols and general laboratory safety.
• OSHA/CALOSHA Laboratory Standard safety procedures.
• Computers and applicable software.

Responsabilidades

• Contributes to chemical research and analysis tasks supporting propellant and compound synthesis.
• Supports characterization, environmental compliance, and manufacturing processes.
• Develops proposals for new products, methods, or testing techniques.
• Recommends scope changes based on results.
