Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks an entry-level Associate, Materials Process Engineer at the Canoga Park, CA site. You will support cleaning and electrochemical processes, material property testing, and process documentation in a cross-functional team environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science/Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recently graduated within 12 months, with exposure to ASTM standards and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field or graduated within the last 12 months.
• Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, Excel) for processing material test data is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASTM mechanical testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, control, and troubleshooting of cleaning and electrochemical processes used in production and repair environments.
• Evaluate materials and surface conditions to ensure compliance with process requirements and quality standards.
• Assist in contamination investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Prepare technical reports, work instructions, and process documentation.
