Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Palmdale, CA is seeking Associate Material Process Engineers / Material Process Engineers for a 4/10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift night schedule, with an optional 1st shift day schedule. You will join the Vehicle Engineering group to support daily shop floor tasks and material processing activities.

Ideal candidates hold STEM degrees or equivalent experience, can obtain a U.S. government security clearance, and have lab testing experience (DSC, FTIR, TGA) related to aerospace

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science by Dec 2026.
Master's degree or 2 years of engineering experience for Level 2.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance (citizenship required).
Experience with lab testing and material processing for aerospace structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer shop floor assist calls and support technicians daily.
Read, interpret and author specifications and data tabulation.
Write test plans and collaborate with internal and external test labs.
Apply material science principles to resolve issues in structures and subsystems.
