Natus Sensory Inc. is seeking a Materials Planner in Schaumburg, IL to lead global inventory planning and coordinate order fulfillment across key regions. You’ll design optimal stock levels, ensure reliable delivery, and report on supply chain metrics.

The role requires experience in planning, ERP familiarity (Oracle preferred), and strong analytical skills. Collaboration with procurement, manufacturing and logistics is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in global supply chain planning and order fulfillment.
• Strong understanding of inventory concepts like safety stock and reorder points.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems; Oracle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials planning for globally sourced items to ensure timely delivery to regions or business units.
• Use planning methods to set safety stock and reorder points to optimize costs and service levels.
• Analyze data to improve planning accuracy, fulfillment levels, and inventory efficiency.
• Identify risks (shortages, capacity, logistics) and collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting (OTD, shortages, backorders, inventory turns).
• Support implementation and optimization of planning systems, tools, and processes.
• Meet deadlines daily, weekly, and quarterly.

Job Title: Materials Planner

Job Summary

The Materials Planner is responsible for global inventory planning and coordination of order fulfillment acrosssupport a key region of business units. The role designs and manages optimal inventory levels, reliable delivery performance, and transparent reporting of key supply chain metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage materials planning for items sourced and distributed globally to ensure efficient and timely delivery of customer orders across the organization for specific regions or business unit.
• Utilize and deploy planning methods to create and manage safety stocks and reorder points to optimize inventory costs and service levels based on demand and lead times.
• Analyze data to drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, fullfilment levels, and inventory efficiency.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, capacity constraints, and logistics disruptions. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, logistics and customer sales teams.
• Develop and maintain reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
  • On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Material Shortages
  • Backorders
  • Inventory levels and turns
• Support implementation and optimization of planning systems, tools, and processes.
• Meet deadlines on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or order fulfillment in a global environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock and reorder point methodologies.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems (preferred Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different regions and functions.
• Experience or desire to level AI tools to improve planning methods and results.
• Knowledge of data management tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, or other like tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Natus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range.
