Job summary

Sewer Equipment is seeking a Material Planner-Jetter to optimize parts flow for the Jetter and Electrical Departments in Dixon, IL. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining ROP/ROQ points, scanning Kanban cards, and expediting parts to production.

You will collaborate with purchasing and production, maintain unit VIN tags, and support related duties. Prior manufacturing exposure and lean principles are valued.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Proficiency with MS Office or related software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze usage to set up ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on new parts.
• Analyze history to maintain ROP/ROQ for current parts.
• Scan buy cards into Kanban database for Jetter and Electrical Departments.
• Review scans and approve/reject based on history and need.
• Expedite parts with production and communicate needs to purchasing.
• Break down work orders and order specific parts.
• Maintain unit VIN tags and related paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Sewer Equipment provides the highest quality and most innovative sewer cleaning products for the municipal and contractor market.

TheMaterial Planner-Jetter is responsible for facilitating the flow of parts into the Jetter and Electrical Departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze usage to set up ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on new parts
• Analyze history and usage to maintain correct ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on current parts
• Scan buy cards into the Kanban database for Jetter and Electrical Departments
• Review card scans in database and approve or reject based on history and need
• Work with production floor in expediting needed parts
• Communicate with purchasing the need for parts expediting
• Breakdown of work order and ordering of work order specific parts
• Maintain work order packet for upcoming units for completed units
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Creation of unit VIN tags

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Strong communication skills are required to interact with internal customers
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and follow through on order completion
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in Power BI, Smartsheet, Sharepoint helpful

Education and Experience:

• Manufacturing Experience Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day

Commitments and Location:

• Permanent Full-Time Role Based in Dixon, IL
• Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
