Job summary

Sewer Equipment is seeking a Mechanical Assembler based in Dixon, IL, responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. The role includes reading blueprints, using tools, and maintaining quality standards.

Fulltime position with day shift hours from Monday to Thursday. Benefits include a $500 sign-on bonus, productivity bonuses, and health insurance after 60 days. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of mechanical experience and be detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and follows specifications.
• Uses machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies as required.
• Checks products for quality and adheres to company policy.
• Keeps a safe and clean working environment.

Job description

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic circuitry to support production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry, and more according to directions.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, and builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned task.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Maintain a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Commitments and Location

• Fulltime role based in Dixon, IL
• Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5pm
• Overtime may be required
