Job Overview
As a Material Planner in the Radiodetection division, you will plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products from sales through procurement to production. Your goal is to provide timely planning and scheduling to meet manufacturing targets, financial objectives, and customer delivery dates.

Duties
- Follow safe work practices and promote a safety‑first culture.
- Prepare material schedules for manufacture of military or commercial products.
- Establish the sequence and lead time of each material to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Analyze material shortages and requirements from the MRP system.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Consult with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite the flow of material to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages.
- Notify Sales and Production of schedule impacts resulting from material delays.
- Expedite material to ensure schedules are achieved.
- Complete status reports, such as materials inventory.
- Assist with correcting inventory as required.
- Organize subcontracted material to vendors.
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.
- Interact well with internal and external customers.
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
- In‑depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years planning experience in a related industry.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
