Job summary

SPX Technologies, within Radiodetection, seeks a material handler to support order planning, loading and unloading, and movement of goods across the operation.

You will work in a manufacturing/shipping environment, handling forklift duties, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring safety and timely shipments. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to processes in a dynamic plant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fork truck experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills expected.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Safety-conscious with good attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
• Complete transport of finished goods using hand trucks and skids; maintain equipment.
• Maintain inventory by labeling, stocking, recording locations, and reporting shortages.
• Follow processes for expedited shipments and ensure accuracy of accompanying documents.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

Complete basic order/work order planning, product loading, product unloading, receiving, dunnage unloading, and product movement tasks using equipment and processes in support of successful operations.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

1. Material Management

• Transport materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
• Complete transport of finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.

2. Inventory Control

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Review orders for quality and accuracy.
• Confirm accompanying documents, shipping details or special instructions are complete and accurate.
• Follow processes for expedited shipments affecting the production schedule.

3. Teamwork

• Resolve issues timely and effectively with team lead and/or supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
• Report to work on time, as scheduled.
• Team player, performing other related duties as assigned.

• Prior experience in shipping/manufacturing environment
• Fork truck experience
