Job summary

SPX Technologies in Franklin, TN is seeking a dependable warehouse associate to support daily shipping and material handling operations. You will load, unload, pack, and move goods, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure on-time delivery while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include loading dock movements, order verification, and assisting with transportation logistics. Prior experience in shipping/manufacturing and fork truck operation is preferred; valid driver's license is

Responsibilities

  • Material Management: loading/unloading, receiving, dunnage unloading, and product movement tasks.
  • Transport materials to/from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
  • Complete transport of finished goods (manually and/or with hand trucks and skids).
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
  • Inventory Control: identify, label, stock, record locations, report shortages.
  • Review orders for quality and accuracy; confirm shipping details are complete.
  • Follow processes for expedited shipments affecting the production schedule.
  • Teamwork: resolve issues with team lead or supervisor; maintain a safe environment.
  • Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations; report to work on time; team player.

How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)

Complete basic order/work order planning, product loading, product unloading, receiving, dunnage unloading, and product movement tasks using equipment and processes in support of successful operations.

  • Confirm accompanying documents, shipping details or special instructions are complete and accurate.
  • Follow processes for expedited shipments affecting the production schedule.
  • Teamwork
  • Resolve issues timely and effectively with team lead and/or supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
