Job summary

ABB Smart Power is seeking a Material Planner for Senatobia, MS to manage end-to-end inventory from requisition to invoice. You will set inventory parameters, optimize replenishment, and collaborate with operations buyers to ensure on-time purchase orders.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of inventory management in manufacturing, plus strong MS Office and ERP/SAP experience and a detail-oriented, team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 2+ years in inventory management in manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Production planning experience; invoicing a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Excel; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Plan end-to-end inventory from requisition to customer invoice.
  • Set and maintain inventory parameters (safety stock, reorder points, lot size, lead times).
  • Coordinate with operations buyers to convert purchase requisitions to POs.
  • Collaborate with buyers to ensure on-time supplier performance and optimal MOQs.

Each day, you will support internal customer service inquiries. You will also showcase your expertise by setting inventory parameters and targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.You will be mainly accountable for:Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation.Calculating and maintaining the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in the planning systems and the ERPs.Coordinating material planning with call-offs to ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations buyers and services.Collaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility.Qualifications for the roleBachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field PLUS minimum 2 years experience in inventory management in a manufacturing or industrial settingProduction planning and experience with invoicing, a plusProficiency in MS OfficeSAP knowledge, preferredExperience in ERP systems and ExcelStrong organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, problem-solving, and team-oriented mindsetCandidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about usABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
