In addition to being a forklift manufacturer, we are also a total solutions provider offering scalable products and services from material handling and automation to extensive fleet support.About the role:Understanding and implementation of purchasing policies and inventory management principles ensuring MRP component data integrity meeting cost effective and timely availability of components to support production requirements. Uses inventory management principles ensuring MRP systems are maintained adequately for optimal performance. Analyzes, controls and monitors material inventory to optimize inventory levels and minimize material shortages. Generate and distribute various reports needed to understand supply and demand for all the commodities. Perform data analyses as needed to understand part shortage issues, transit delays, and material planning parameters performance evaluations.What you will do:MRP interpretation, release of PO's to assigned suppliers and communicate supplier feedback with respect to material delivery timing, quantity, expedites, and past due status to appropriate parties. Ensure an uninterrupted material flow for assigned commodity/suppliers in support of the Master Production Schedule.Update database and MRP systems to ensure data integrity.Reporting of components availability in regards to:-Manufacturing shortages-New Product Introduction-Engineering Order implementationManage departmental targets in regards to:-Purchase Order Management (past due PO's)-Supplier delivery performance (pick up date, fill rate, apply rate, delivery date)-Inventory levels, safety stock, and exposure to obsolescenceManage parts hand off process in the MRP system from commodity managers to buyer/planners as new parts or vendors are established.When & Where:In office DailyWhat you need to have:Bachelor's Degree2 – 5 years’ experienceBackground in Material Planning function and Inventory ManagementExperience in a Manufacturing environmentStrong interest in analytical problem solving and enjoys working with numbersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
