Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Pecos, TX is seeking a Materials Handler to support construction operations by organizing material flow and maintaining records. You will move materials, inventory against POs, and ensure proper receipt of equipment and supplies to the jobsite.

Responsibilities include storing, retrieving, loading/unloading materials, maintaining logs, and adhering to safety procedures and Bechtel SWPPs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 6 months of industrial construction experience.

• Communicates with Material Person craft and others to perform job tasks.
• Inventories against purchase order to insure proper equipment and materials are received in satisfactory condition.
• Stores, retrieves, loads and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles.
• Works from ground or aerial devices.
• Moves materials from warehouse and prepares for delivery to jobsite.
• Pulls materials for jobsite requirements or material move request.
• Stores equipment in designated areas and maintains appropriate records.
• Keeps running log of all consumable items used and reorders as needed.
• Retrieves and issues materials upon receipt of material request and maintains appropriate records of movements.
• Maintains warehouse locations including main, remote, or tool room i.e. sweeping, painting, cleaning, etc. as required.
• Adheres to all safety procedures.
• Adhere to Bechtel Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPP’s).
• Participate in STARTT Card discussions on a daily basis.
