Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Material Handler to support warehouse and jobsite logistics. You will communicate with the Material Person and others to perform tasks, inventory against purchase orders, and move materials from storage to the jobsite to meet project needs.

You will store equipment, maintain records, keep logs of consumables, retrieve materials on request, and comply with safety procedures and Bechtel SWPPs. A background in industrial construction is typical.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 6 months of industrial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Material Person craft and others to perform job tasks.
• Inventories against purchase order to insure proper equipment and materials are received in satisfactory condition.
• Stores, retrieves, loads and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles.
• Works from ground or aerial devices.
• Moves materials from warehouse and prepares for delivery to jobsite.
• Pulls materials for jobsite requirements or material move request.
• Stores equipment in designated areas and maintains appropriate records.
• Keeps running log of all consumable items used and reorders as needed.
• Retrieves and issues materials upon receipt of material request and maintains appropriate records of movements.
• Maintains warehouse locations including main, remote, or tool room i.e. sweeping, painting, cleaning, etc. as required.
• Adheres to all safety procedures.
• Adhere to Bechtel Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPP’s).
• Participate in STARTT Card discussions on a daily basis.
• Typically requires 6 months of industrial construction experience.
