Job summary

Singer Vehicle Design in Carson, CA is seeking a Supervisor, Material Operations to lead our inventory flow and warehouse team. You will manage receiving, storage, kitting, and distribution, mentoring direct reports, and partnering with Quality Control, Planning, and Purchasing to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher.
• Five (5) years minimum experience in a Production Coordinator or Material Generalist position.
• Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience.
• Bonus points for experience with MRP systems like Infor.
• Bonus points for experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
• Bonus points for experience in a rapid growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Approve timecards, scheduling, conduct reviews, maintain stocking levels, and mentor direct reports.
• Implement best practices for warehouse logistics, shipping and receiving, including transportation options, packing requirements, routing, etc.
• Support and maintain metric goals for Inventory teams.
• Conduct regular safety walk-throughs, address safety issues, and promote safety policies.
• Interface with Quality Control, Transportation, Planning, Purchasing, and related departments to resolve receipt and distribution problems.
• Be the point for area audits and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area with continuous improvements to workspace design.
• Supervise the Inventory, Transport, Shipping and Receiving teams.
• Foster an environment where change is embraced and ideas are implemented when appropriate.
• Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient work environment.
