Job description

Responsibilities: To process and receive materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records; perform related work.

• Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes: weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper’s declaration.
• Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
• Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents.
• Partners with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies.
• Communicates with transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.
• Resolves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest.
• Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Related industry experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Possess effective communication skills, which include verbal and written.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
• Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8-hour-a-day schedule.
