Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is hiring for a full-time plant operator in South Carolina. The role operates packing equipment safely and efficiently, supporting production goals and maintaining compliance with safety and waste guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background and physical checks. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00AM–2:30PM, with a competitive pay range and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience preferred.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager; supervised work environment.
• General knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting plant production requirements as set by client/owner.
• Observant of operating process equipment and maintenance needs.
• Communicates with supervision to ensure production goals are met.
• Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up sites.
• Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Completes records, maintains tools/equipment, and cleans up.
• Observes and complies with safety and project rules; performs other duties.

SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Assumes responsibility for assisting in meeting plant production requirements as set by client/owner
• - Observant of operating process equipments and maintenance need.
• - Communicating with supervision as necessary to ensure maximum performances as outlined by production goals
• - Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
• - Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
• - Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• - Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
