Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles seeks a Materials Management professional to oversee peri-operative inventory operations in a world‑class health system. You will ensure accurate stock levels, drive data accuracy, and support patient care by maintaining efficient supply flows.

The role collaborates with OR staff, Purchasing, Receiving, and IT to monitor par levels, lead times, and stock controls. A strong background in hospital inventory and Excel is preferred; physical capacity to lift up to 75

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Materials Management or related field.
• Hospital inventory experience preferred.
• Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day product inventory operations for designated peri-operative areas
• Collaborates with medical and nursing staff and Support Services including Central Issues, Purchasing, Warehouse, Receiving, Billing, Processing, Clinical Engineering and information Systems
• Responsible for inventory functions and product and/or accounting discrepancies as a result of those functions
• Provides daily operational analysis through maintenance of automated information systems
• Forecasts inventory utilization based on standard acceptable par levels. Recommends inventory consumption control measures
• Responsible for determining usage, lead time, safety stock, MIN and MAX quantity for all inventory as assigned
