Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Material Inspector/Yard Associate to interact with customers while inspecting and grading materials delivered to the yard. The role may operate small equipment to aid processing and shipment preparation, and entails outdoor work with training provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of small equipment experience preferred.
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accurate operation with attention to detail and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Sort, process and inventory material (Non-Ferrous Metals) by operating shears, balers, loaders and forklifts.
• Assist with purchasing various grades of recyclable materials from customers.
• Support customers with the unloading of materials.
• Assist with preparing, packing, and loading materials for shipment.
• Sort and process materials in accordance with company standards.
• Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or other machinery as needed.
• Assist with vehicle and appliance processing activities.
• Conduct basic inspections and documentation as required.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with material tracking.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Position Summary

The Material Inspector/Yard Associate interacts with customers while inspecting and grading materials delivered to the yard. This role may operate small equipment to help process and prepare materials for shipment. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people and providing a positive, face-to-face experience for customers and truck drivers. This position works primarily outdoors, and we are happy to train the right person on our equipment and recycling.

Schedule

• Monday - Saturday (4-Day: Rotating Schedule)
• 1st Shift 7am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities
