Job summary

PADNOS, a full-service recycling company, is seeking a Large Equipment Operator in Livonia, MI to safely operate heavy equipment such as switch trucks, hydraulic cranes, mobile cranes, loaders and trac-mobiles, supporting daily yard operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience operating large equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in yard environments.
• Strong attention to detail and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or railcars and move materials to designated areas.
• Maintain basic production, inventory, shipment, and equipment maintenance records as required.
• Identify and distinguish between different grades and types of materials.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing loads and assist with material grading when applicable.
• Assist with hand-sorting materials as needed to support yard operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Our Large Equipment Operator are responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to switch trucks, hydraulic cranes, mobile cranes, loaders, and trac-mobiles. This role supports daily yard operations by moving, loading, and preparing materials as needed. The Equipment Operator is expected to actively demonstrate and support PADNOS company values while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. A valid driver’s license is required.
