Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Material Handling Specialist in Suffolk, VA to support our client’s warehouse operations. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive approach while handling shipments and inventory using RF scan guns and warehouse systems.

The position offers a stable day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm) with forklift operation as part of the duties. A valid forklift certification is required to perform duties safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Experience with material handling and operating industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify and prepare incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Receive parts into inventory using RF scan guns, shop floor systems, and warehouse management systems.
• Separate inbound loads by part number and customer, and process outbound shipments using FIFO methodology.
• Stage, audit, and ensure all outbound shipments are properly documented and signed off.
• Operate industrial handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials efficiently within the warehouse.
