Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in Richmond, VA to manage movement, storage and distribution of materials within warehouse and shop environments. You will support receiving, inventory control and production needs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires teamwork and careful handling of materials. The position offers full-time hours, opportunities to operate forklifts and rigging equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of warehouse/material handling experience preferred.
• Rigging experience strongly preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, lulls, or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds.
• Physical tasks including standing, walking, bending and lifting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and transport incoming materials to storage areas.
• Assist with inspection and verification of received goods.
• Pick, stage and deliver materials to production, departments or job sites.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure safe handling of materials.
• Organize and maintain storage areas for accessibility and accuracy.
• Label materials and help track locations.
• Support inventory activities including cycle counts and stock organization.
• Assist with material distribution and movement with Inventory Control Coordinators.
