Job summary

Hy-Tek is seeking an Application Engineer II to design and implement material handling solutions, interfacing with internal teams and clients. You will create CAD models for complete systems and contribute to budgeting and pricing while ensuring client satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on engineering, collaboration with vendors, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 20% and on-site / manufacturing settings are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering focusing on material handling.“
• Formal training in mechanical engineering or equivalent related experience required.
• Proficient in AutoDesk products (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) and able to learn supplier drawing packages.
• Creative, self-motivated engineer with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply material handling products, including conveyor, sortation, and racking, and innovative technologies like mobile robotics and robotic sortation.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop integrated material handling solutions for clients.
• Support multiple projects concurrently and participate in design reviews with clients and account managers.
• Develop CAD models of complete material handling systems and assist in budgeting and firm pricing.
• Assist sales with design reviews and capture onsite design requirements during site visits.
