Job summary

NewView Oklahoma seeks a packaging technician at Hill AFB in Utah. You will inspect boxes, ensure packaging quality, and paint boxes to cover labels. You will also prepare materials and provide storage for finished goods to support multiple workstations.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a security clearance. Legally blind or low vision applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. The role is non-exempt, full-time, with standard safety protocols in place.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boxes for damage and ensure all parts are present.
• Prepare boxes for painting and apply paint to cover labels.
• Paint boxes to cover previous shipping or mailing labels.
• Provide materials and storage of finished goods to workstations.
• Assist as back-up support to the Utah IRS Mailroom as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and use required protective equipment.
• Maintain smooth workflow by ensuring timely availability of supplies and materials.
• Move and handle boxes safely within defined weight limits.

Position Summary:

Inspect boxes for damage, ensure boxes have all parts (foam inserts, etc.). Paints boxes and cover labels.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure boxes have appropriate packaging such as foam inserts or other packaging materials.
• Prepare boxes for painting.
• Paints boxes to cover all previous shipping or mailing labels.
• May serve as back-up support to the Utah IRS Mailroom as needed.
• Must wear the protective equipment required by the department.
• Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for providing materials and storage of finished goods to all workstations.
• Ensures that workstations are not waiting for supplies, materials, and storage of materials. Ensure lines are always moving.

Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• Previous general labor experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a security clearance/public trust.
