Job summary

Olsten is hiring a Material Handler to join our Recycling Operations Team on a full-time basis. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will sort recyclables, load/unload vehicles, move materials, and help maintain a safe, organized worksite.

We value dependable, punctual teammates who can lift and stand for long periods; forklift experience is a plus. Competitive pay starts at $10.50 per hour with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual attendance required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand and work on feet.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials (paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal).
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move materials to designated storage and processing areas.
• Inspect materials for contaminants and separate non-recyclables.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors.

Job Duties

Sort recyclable materials including:

• Paper
• Cardboard
• Plastic
• Glass
• Metal

Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers

Inspect materials and remove non-recyclable contaminants

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment

Follow all company safety and environmental procedures

Assist with inventory counts and material tracking

Report equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors
