Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring for an on-site material handler to support freight receiving, processing, and delivery within the yard and storage areas. The role requires operating yard machinery and maintaining accuracy in data entry and inventory movements.

Candidates should be able to read English, pass forklift-related safety training, and have 3–6 months of material handling experience. The job involves physical tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English for assembly directions, Work Order packets and safety instructions.
• 3–6 months of material handling experience.
• Completion of basic Forklift Training and Safety Orientation.
• PIV certified; Yard Tractor and/or Straddle Crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check in and process freight.
• Deliver freight to warehouses or usage/storage areas and transact in the system.
• Follow 5S standards for the area.
• Move finished chillers from production to storage and enter data into systems.
• May work in outdoor environments for extended periods.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

The general material process may require the employee to work at any station during the workday dependent on staffing and production demands. All employees may be expected to rotate to different areas, or they may be required to work in a specific area depending on experience, training, and skill level to perform work tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible receiving, checking in and processing freight.
• Responsible for delivering freight to warehouses or usage/storage areas and making transactions in the system.
• Follow 5S standards for area.
• Responsible for movement of finished chillers from production areas to storage areas in the yard and entering data into the systems.
• May need to work in outdoor environment for extended periods of time.

• Good verbal communication and excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
• Must have the ability to keep up with high volume in a fast-moving environment.
• Must have the ability to lift 35 lbs., as requested.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Must be PIV certified. Yard Tractor and/or Straddle Crane or comparable heavy machine operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English for assembly directions, Work Order packets and safety instructions.
• Completion of basic Forklift Training and Safety Orientation.
• 3 – 6 months of material handling experience
• Must have strong computer skills.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$19.71 - $21.84
