Schupan is hiring a Material Handler for the Weekend 1st Shift in Kalamazoo, MI. The role includes locating and stocking bundled raw stock, preparing raw bar stock for distribution, and transporting inventory using forklifts or other mobile equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 months related experience, computer familiarity, and the ability to obtain forklift/4D licensing. The position offers competitive pay, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
• Familiarity with use of a computer and applications.
• Must be able to become licensed to operate mobile equipment including forklift and 4D (required).
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Move raw material into inventory after receiving is complete.
• Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to free space for new inventory.
• Assist with unloading incoming raw material.
• Return and restock material to inventory.
• Systematically ship product using company application software.
• Assist in disposal and stocking of non-inventoried items, including cardboard, trash, and scrap material of red rack items.
• Provide material requirements to the Manufacturing team.
• Operate mobile equipment as needed (forklifts, 4D).
• Maintain equipment storage areas to protect inventory.
• Interact in-person with coworkers and the public in a collaborative team environment.
