Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in El Paso, TX is seeking an Entry Level Material Handler/ Warehouse Operator for a 12-month contract on W2, with total hours per week 40 and a 4th shift. Schedule: Tue–Fri 6am-2:30pm and Sat–Sun 6am-6pm.

You will operate forklifts (OSHA-certified), move materials, assist in receiving/shipping, maintain accurate records, and follow SOPs in a fast-paced industrial environment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience with OSHA-certified license required.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend English documents.
• General computer skills and basic math abilities.
• Must have HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and goods.
• Support receiving, storage, and shipping activities within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate records and follow SOPs under supervision.

Job Description

• The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs.


• Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts (sit down, picker, stand up), conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.


• May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.


• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.


• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.


• Works under general to limited supervision.

Education & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent. Warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.


• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.


• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).


• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.


• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.


• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment. General computer skills.
