Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler in New York, NY. This role focuses on moving materials such as glass and metal throughout the plant, reporting to the Production Supervisor. What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler position is focused on moving material including glass and metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. This position reports to the Production Supervisor. It is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience, who is a team player and has an excellent attendance record. A vital member of the Tempering Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

• Move material including glass and metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the entire shift on concrete, up to 10 hours
• Twist, bend and kneel
• Lift, push, pull or move up to 75lbs individually and 150lbs with a partner
• Requires constant reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting
• Visual acuity to inspect product for various quality flaws
• Proper wear of all required Personal Protective Equipment
• Work in temperatures consistent with the same outdoor climate conditions of the region (heat, humidity, etc.)

Position Pay Range: $20 USD - $22 USD
