Job summary

AFP International is seeking a factory worker to supply the Spinning Department with materials and assist in daily production of fiberglass products. You will help load, move, and position supplies, and participate in furnace-related training.

This role requires working 12-hour rotating shifts, 7 days a week, with physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds; reasonable accommodations may be made. AFP International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the Spinning Department with supplies needed to run production.
  • Train to obtain a clear understanding of the furnace application.
  • Complete training on manufacturing instructions, LOTO, and JSA’s.
  • Work is performed on 12‑hour rotating shifts, 7 days a week.
  • Move and position glass hoppers as needed for furnace operations.
  • Load materials into the glass elevator.
  • Move finished product to designated location in the warehouse.
  • Assist line in preparation of product changeovers.
  • Wash and sweep floors, walls, rails, and ceiling, and perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Supply material and assistance to the Spinning Department in a timely manner to increase production efficiencies and overall productivity. Work in and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Monitor and maintain equipment and materials to manufacture a good fiberglass product.
