Job summary

IPL Schoeller is seeking a Material Handler to support production and distribution in Phoenix, AZ. You will pull orders, deliver materials, stage finished products, and maintain stock levels while ensuring accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, loading/unloading, and documenting shipments. Candidates should have 1–3 years in similar roles, forklift certification, and familiarity with ERP or barcode systems.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certifications and experience operating forklifts.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and barcode scanners.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Lean manufacturing or 5S practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA and others).
• Background in ERP inventory management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials, and stage finished products for distribution.
• Maintain inventory by labeling and locating materials, reporting shortages.
• Transport materials between work centres and production lines.
• Record units delivered and locations in IT systems.
• Inspect Finished Goods labels and packaging before shipment.
• Operate, clean, and maintain forklift trucks and related equipment.

Job Overview and key accountabilities (agile)

As Material Handler, you will ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. You will ensure the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Maintains in‑process inventory at work centres by delivering and opening materials and supplies
• Daily stock counting and ordering items for production
• Locates and packs materials for shipping
• Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units
• Transferring items, finish goods and materials physically and electronically on IT systems
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped
• Operating, cleaning and maintaining forklift trucks (charging and topping water in batteries)
• Inspection of Finished Goods Labels & Packaging prior to wrapping pallets
• Operating Central feed, checking alarms, troubleshoot finding issues and solutions
• Cleaning Central feed area & Filters, Filling materials in Central feed area and on the production floor
• Removal of Shift Scrap from Production Floor
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Open containers, sort, and catalogue materials
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations

Qualifications & Experience

• Forklift certifications – Counterbalance, Reach truck and PPT will be advantageous
• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and barcode scanners
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes
• Background in lean manufacturing or 5S practices is a plus
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA & other)
• Background in ERP inventory management systems a plus
