Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Material Handler – Shipping (Warehouse/Manufacturing) to join our Norcross facility. This role handles shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow cGMP procedures, perform data entry, assist in training, and help maintain safe, organized storage. The position requires a high school diploma and basic PC skills; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient PC skills, including email and internet navigation.
• English speaking, reading and writing ability.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for a Material Handlerto join our shipping/warehouse manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the tasks and functions involving shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipmentin our Norcross warehouse facility.

Material Handler - Shipping (Warehouse/Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Complying with all departmental procedures


• Verification and processing (data entry) for all deliveries according to cGMP and any/all departmental procedures


• Receiving, handling, storing, rotating and delivering all raw material, components, finished goods according to FIFO, cGMP, and any/all departmental procedures


• Operating and maintaining department equipment


• Ensuring that any inspections required are performed according to regulations


• Identifying and helping troubleshoot incorrect performance of department equipment (where applicable)


• Actively participating in the training of new employees


• Warehouse work (storing/rotating supplies and raw materials/components, re-stackingpallets, and organizing storage areas


• Performing cycle counts and/or physical yea-rendinventory (when required) of all supplies, raw material/components, finished goods and/or consumables


• Performing the tasks and functions associated with daily mail duties throughout the Werfencampus


• Pulling/scanning/packing orders according to FIFO, cGMP, and any/all departmental procedures


• Identifying and reporting any/all unsafe equipment and/or working conditions


• Discarding expired product when directed

Constantly using hands to grab and reach for products when pulling orders or receiving/stocking material.

International orders can weigh up to approximately 70 pounds per box.

Pushing & pulling serum carts that weigh approximately 800 pounds; these carts need to be maneuvered in and out of the coolers when necessary.

Close and distant vision required for forklift activity.

Depth perception required when placing product on warehouse racking.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)


• Working knowledge of PC and keyboarding skills and knowledge of e-mail and internet


• Team player with the ability to interact cooperatively with coworkers

Additional responsibilities include:

• Ability to speak, read and write english
