Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring a Material Handler to operate warehouse equipment and build pallets for shipment. You will receive product into the warehouse, put away stock, and replenish product into slots.

In addition to the starting wage of $20.55 per hour, the company offers comprehensive health insurance, retirement benefits, and education benefits for eligible team members. Relocation packages may be available.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; 3 months forklift/heavy lift experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
• Must read, write and communicate in English for manuals, labels, and warehouse systems.
• Prior warehouse or heavy lifting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate warehouse material handling equipment.
• Use RF units and pick tickets, and manage receiving documentation.
• Build stable pallet loads for shipment and ensure accurate item counts.
