Job summary

NatureWorks LLC is seeking an experienced Material Handler Shift Lead to guide the warehouse team with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, teamwork, and product stewardship. This hands-on leadership role coaches Material Handlers, resolves day-to-day issues, and ensures finished products meet NatureWorks’ standards before leaving the facility.

You’ll lead by example, coach on procedures, and champion safety programs while coordinating troubleshooting and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of NatureWorks material handling experience.
• Completion of NatureWorks Level 4 Material Handling skills assessment.
• Meets performance expectations in the last 24 months.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes.
• Positive, team‑oriented leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to safely and efficiently reach shift goals.
• Coach Material Handlers on procedures and best practices.
• Champion product quality for labels, boxes, pallets, and finished shipments.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance needs during shifts.
• Address team concerns and serve as a resource for Material Handlers.
• Champion safety programs, near‑miss reporting, and procedure compliance.
• Identify and address safety, quality, environmental, maintenance, and production concerns.
• Perform all responsibilities of the Material Handler 4 role as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Coach Material Handlers on procedures, processes, and best practices
• Champion product quality, ensuring labels, boxes, pallets, and finished shipments meet expectations
• Participate in shift exchanges and help coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance needs
• Help resolve team concerns and serve as a resource for Material Handlers
• Champion safety programs, near‑miss reporting, observations, and procedure compliance
• Identify and address safety, quality, environmental, maintenance, and production concerns
• Perform all responsibilities of the Material Handler 4 role as needed

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of NatureWorks material handling experience
• Successful completion of the NatureWorks Level 4 Material Handling skills assessment
• Meets expectations or higher on performance reviews for the past 24 months
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Positive, team‑oriented leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Pay starts at $29.75 per hour.
• Benefits begin on day 1.
• 3 weeks of vacation, 6 family/sick days.
• 8.5% company 401k contribution.
