Job summary

NatureWorks Blair, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Material Handler Shift Lead to guide our warehouse team with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, teamwork, and product stewardship. This hands-on leadership role coaches Material Handlers, helps resolve day-to-day issues, and ensures our finished product meets NatureWorks’ standards before leaving the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of NatureWorks material handling experience.
• Completion of NatureWorks Level 4 Material Handling skills assessment.
• Meets expectations or higher on performance reviews for the past 24 months.
• Working knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and help the team safely and efficiently achieve shift goals.
• Coach Material Handlers on procedures, processes, and best practices.
• Champion product quality, ensuring labels, boxes, pallets, and finished shipments meet expectations.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance needs during shifts.
• Serve as a resource for Material Handlers and resolve team concerns.
• Champion safety programs, near‑miss reporting, observations, and procedure compliance.
• Identify and address safety, quality, environmental, maintenance, and production concerns.
• Perform all responsibilities of the Material Handler 4 role as needed.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay starts at $29.75 per hour.
• Benefits begin on day 1.
• 3 weeks of vacation, 6 family/sick days.
