Job summary

NatureWorks LLC is seeking an experienced Material Handler Shift Lead to help lead our warehouse team with a strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and product stewardship. This hands‑on leadership role coaches Material Handlers, helps resolve day‑to‑day issues, and ensures our finished product meets NatureWorks’ standards before it leaves the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of NatureWorks material handling experience.
• Completion of NatureWorks Level 4 Material Handling skills assessment.
• Meets expectations on performance reviews for 24 months.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and help the team safely and efficiently achieve shift goals.
• Coach Material Handlers on procedures, processes, and best practices.
• Champion product quality; ensure labels, boxes, pallets, and shipments meet standards.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance needs during shifts.
• Resolve team concerns and act as a resource for Material Handlers.
• Champion safety programs and near-miss reporting and compliance.
• Identify and address safety, quality, environmental, maintenance, and production concerns.
• Perform all responsibilities of the Material Handler 4 role as needed.
