Job summary

Carolina Container LLC is seeking a Material Handler for the First Shift at our Prince George, VA facility. You will operate the baler and other warehouse equipment, weigh and document bales, and maintain inventory of supplies to support continuous production.

The role requires familiarity with corrugated processes and the ability to read measurements and production specifications. Work is performed in a loud, physically demanding environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in corrugated industry preferred.
• Prior forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities as they relate to efficient operation.
• Ability to read and interpret product layouts and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler safely and efficiently following all safety protocols.
• Safely operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Weigh and record bales of product and maintain accurate recycling records.
• Maintain inventories of bailing wire, wax, and scrap bales while ensuring proper tagging.

# Material Handler Shift 1VA- Prince George (4) - Prince George, VA 23875## OverviewSalary Range$19.28 - $22.59 HourlyLevelExperiencedPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftFirst ShiftEducation LevelNoneTravel PercentageNoneCategoryManufacturing## Material Handler Shift 1**SUMMARY:** Responsible for the proper disposal of all waste materials and recyclable paper products throughout the printing facility, for all activities associated with safely running the baler including operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Operate the baler in an efficient manner following all safety protocols.* Safely operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.* Operate hogger and hog up all unusable paper and corrugated scrap.* Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
