Job summary

Precisionaire, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator to pack products for shipping on the second shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM). You will follow quality and safety rules, operate forklift equipment, and ensure packages are prepared for safe transport.

Strong reading/writing English and a NC driver’s license are required. Experience with nail guns, banding, tape measure, pallet jack, and stretch wrap is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must have valid North Carolina driver's license.
• 1+ year forklift driving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to communicate both orally and written.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16.
• Must be able to operate nail guns and banding equipment.
• Must be able to operate stretch wrap machine and pallet jack.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To pack all products for safe shipping.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Ensure all products are packaged for safe shipping according to the rules outlined by the quality department and policy and procedure.
• Adhere to all safety regulations in forklift operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for daily checklist on assigned forklift.
• Responsible for keeping warehouse in a clean and organized manner.
• Must be able to adapt to last-minute changes in daily work schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
