Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to efficiently process raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate inventory records and safe handling throughout shipping and warehouse areas.

You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, read work orders, record movements in SAP, and collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain a clean, compliant, and productive site.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 1-3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Aptitude with SAP/WMS System.
• Appropriate forklift and comparable equipment operating skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly for extended periods.
• Operation Monitoring - watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
• Quality Control Analysis - conducting tests and inspections to evaluate quality.
• Coordination and teamwork to support production and shipping.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, move, or route materials to and from production areas and loading docks by hand or using equipment.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with information.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved using production sheets or tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Ensure secure shipment of finished goods by stretch wrapping and securing loads.
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
• Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Perform all material handling functions related to shipping and warehousing, including truck loading and receiving.
• Receive and store raw materials in their proper place.
• Process receiving, inventory, and shipping transactions in SAP in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; report spills or hazards.
• Safely use material handling equipment, including sit-down and standup forklifts, pallet jacks.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as necessary.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
