Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a Material Handler to efficiently process raw materials, handle shipments, and document SAP transactions. In-person, full-time role with steady shifts and a focus on safety and accuracy.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and forklift/SAP/WMS proficiency. Base pay is $22/hour with a $0.75/hour second shift premium, plus bonus eligibility. Shift: 4:00PM–2:30AM, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Aptitude with SAP/WMS System.
• Appropriate forklift and comparable equipment operating skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, move, or route materials to and from production areas and loading docks by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other material handling equipment.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Ensure secure shipment of finished goods by stretch wrapping of palletized products using stretch wrapping equipment and blocking and bracing loads
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
• Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Perform all material handling functions related to shipping and warehousing, including truck loading, material receiving, storage and supply of filling lines with packaging components
• Receive and store raw materials in their proper place.Process receiving, inventory, and shipping transactions in SAP in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in shipping, receiving, warehouse, and dock areas; promptly communicate all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor or another member of the plant management staff.
• Safely use material handling equipment, including sit-down and standup forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as necessary.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
