Job summary

GAF is seeking a Material Handler responsible for forklift loading/unloading, order picking, verification, and safe shipment preparation. The role emphasizes safety, quality, service, and cost control in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will hold forklift certification, have 2+ years in logistics, and be able to work various shifts while maintaining attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in a fast paced logistics/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends.
• Forklift certification and safe forklift operation.
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and load/unload trucks.
• Perform daily forklift checks and LP gas replacement.
• Assist with cycle counting and inventory tasks.
• Verify orders and prepare shipments according to packing slips.
• Collaborate with Logistics Planner, Shipper/Receiver, and Maintenance as needed.
• Follow SOPs/JSA and document safety procedures.
