Quanex is seeking a Material Handler - Night shift in Sioux Falls, SD to coordinate shipping and warehouse activities ensuring on‑time delivery. The role supports daily orders, inventory, and labeling while complying with safety standards.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, offering bonus potential, 401K with company match, ESPP, and generous PTO. Forklift certification is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required; prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to move pallets, load trucks, and move items safely.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to use scanners for inventory and shipping.
• Follow instructions, label cartons and prioritize daily shipments.
• Strong safety mindset in line with OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stock raw materials, components, and finished goods in warehouse.
• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely customer shipments.
• Match product and customer orders for correct quantities and labeling.
• Prepare UPS/FedEx shipments according to requirements.

Job description

Quanex is looking for a Material Handler - Night shift to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This position will be responsible to coordinate the shipping and warehouse activities for the day-to-day activities necessary to ensure on time delivery objectives are met and the customer receives the product that they ordered.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.

What Success Looks Like:

• Accountable for stocking and the handling of raw materials, components, and finished goods into warehouse.
• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure customer orders are shipped in a timely manner.
• Match product and customer orders to ensure proper quantities and labeling.
• Prepare UPS/FedEx shipments according to customer requirements.

What You Bring:

• Forklift certification will be required; previous experience is preferred
• Ability to move pallets, load trucks, and move other items safely throughout the plant as necessary
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use scanners
• Ability to follow instructions, label cartons, and prioritize daily shipments
• Excellent understanding of your responsibilities regarding safety and OSHA

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $18.00/hour + $1.25 shift differential with increases based on forklift certifications.
